Thousands of participants arrived at the American Diabetes Associations Diabetes Expo at the Georgia World Congress Center in downtown Atlanta Saturday, March 21with great expectations.  This free trade show designed by the ADA is a highly interactive exposé that includes professional speakers, cooking demonstrations, exercise classes and access to health care providers and free health screenings. Patrons and professionals met to discuss the latest technologies, treatments and motivators available to help tackle this complex disease.  One of the event organizers, Carole Helms was very pleased with the attendance and especially touched by the hard work of all the volunteers that made it possible.  “It takes a village to tackle diabetes and we had a village here at the Diabetes Expo.  I’m happy that we can offer a “one stop shopping” experience for the people who come to this so they can receive the information and care that they really need”.
